Peanut Butter
Free of added salt, sugar, and harmful preservatives, peanut butter provides a natural protein source with vitamins B and niacin to aid digestive breakdown and processing nutrients into energy. Vitamin E supports skin and immune system health.
Oat Flour
Oats, being a gluten free carbohydrate, is a soluble source of fiber that also contains a wide variety of additional benefits. Vitamins like Vitamin B support the health of their coat, and the omega-6 fatty acid known as linoleic acid helps fortify skin strength. Avenanthramides, an antioxidant class found solely in oats, supports heart health, has anti-inflammatory properties, and aids the aging process in their neurological, cardiovascular, metabolic, and dermatological systems.
Pumpkin Puree
Pun fully intended, pumpkin puree is a very solid fiber source and prebiotic to integrate into your pet's diet. High in potassium and iron, and vitamin A, this ingredient supports blood pressure, vision, and immune system health. Vitamin A and vitamin C provide antioxidant benefits for cell health.
Arrowroot
In addition to providing fiber for digestion, arrowroot holds B vitamins, iron, and potassium that aid transporting and breaking down nutrients within the body, as well as heart health.
Coconut Oil
On top of the anti-inflammatory benefits of topical use, the ingestion of coconut oil provides many healthy fats that are easily digested. Lauric acid is antimicrobial, which backs the immune system against viral, bacterial, and fungal infections. Coconut oil also helps coat and skin health, assisting with odor reduction.
Honey
This antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory superfood ingredient has a variety of vitamins and minerals, including iron, copper, and phenol antioxidants, which support circulatory and blood health. Natural sugars add a bit of sweet to the treat!
Ground Flaxseed
One of the primary benefits of flaxseed is the large amount of Omega-3 fatty acids this ingredient contains. In combination with high levels of fiber and ligands, anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties support cognitive, joint, skin, visual, and developmental health throughout your pet's lifespan.
Cinnamon
In limited amounts, cinnamon can provide antibacterial and anti-inflammatory support for your pet's health, particularly for aging joints, in regulating their blood sugar, and by reducing insulin resistance. Antioxidants in cinnamon support skin cell strength against factors like pollen, sun damage, and inflammation.
Catnip
For cats, smelling catnip reputably acts as a psychoactive stimulant. When ingested by either felines or canines, it has a sedative effect that can soothe anxiety, motion sickness, and gastrointestinal issues. Catnip also contains properties that deter mosquitos and fleas!
